The permanent hard screen at the Starbright Theater has an aspect ratio of 20:9. To fully utilize the screen, media must match this 20:9 aspect ratio. (This ratio is wider than the 16:9 aspect ratio commonly used by consumer TVs.)

 

For media with a narrower aspect ratio than 20:9, adjustable black masking is available on the left and right sides of the screen to reduce the horizontal size.

 

Note: The physical height of the screen cannot be adjusted.

The above specifications are suitable for most use cases. If your event has unique requirements, please obtain written approval from Starbright Theater before delivering media in any alternate formats.

 FILE NAMING CONVENTIONS 

​​

• Format: [CueNumber] [DescriptiveName] [Version].[extension]

• Examples:

  • 01 Forest v01.jpg

  • 02 Ocean v01.jpg

  • 03 Mountains v01.jpg

• Details:

  • CueNumber:  A two-digit unique sequential number (must use leading zeros)

  • DescriptiveName: Use a short, descriptive name of this image or video

  • Version: Indicate the version number (v01, v02, v03, etc). If you need to submit a revised or updated version of a file, increment the version number accordingly. For example, if you are resubmitting a file that was initially named “01 Forest v01.jpg”, the updated version must be named “01 Forest v02.jpg”

  • Extension: Include the correct file extension (.mp4, .jpg)

• Ensure that filenames are clear, concise, use only Latin letters, and are devoid of special characters

 FILE DELIVERY

• Up to 4 GB (total combined file size)

Deliver media via cloud-based file sharing services such as Google Drive, Dropbox, or similar platforms.

• Over 4 GB (total combined file size)

Deliver media on a USB flash drive or an external Solid State Drive (SSD). The drive should be formatted with a file system supported by Windows (e.g., NTFS, FAT32, or exFAT) and must have a USB 3.0 or USB-C interface.

 FILE SUBMISSION POLICY

• Media files that do not match the listed specs or those agreed upon in writing with the theater’s Technical Director will not be played or converted.

• Starbright Theater will not accept computer files delivered on any media other than specified above.

• Links to audio or video streamed from services like YouTube, YouTube Music, Spotify, or similar platforms will not be accepted
